JMW Targets Strong Showing at Paul Ricard in ELMS Round 2
Le Castellet, France (MAY 1, 2025) — JMW Motorsport arrives in the South of France this week as the European Le Mans Series continues with Round 2 at the legendary Circuit Paul Ricard. With the 2025 season now underway, the team is focused and fully engaged as they prepare to tackle one of the most technical circuits on the calendar. Piloting the team’s No. 66 Ferrari 296 GT3, full season drivers Scott Noble, Jason Hart, and Gianmaria “Gimmi” Bruni return to action in the LMGT3 class, aiming to convert productive testing into a competitive weekend performance.
The 5.791 kilometer Paul Ricard circuit is known for its distinctive mix of long straights, sweeping corners, and expansive runoff zones, including the famous Mistral Straight and high-speed Signes corner. The layout places a premium on balance, braking stability, and race strategy; key factors that the team has been fine tuning during Thursday’s pre-event testing.
With a unified focus on long term performance, JMW Motorsport enters Round 2 with a strategic mindset; prioritizing adaptability, clean execution, and teamwork. As the LMGT3 field tightens and every margin matters, the team’s full season lineup is committed to maximizing every opportunity on and off the track.
Jim McWhirter, Team Principal - “Here we are in the beautiful South of France at the renowned Circuit du Castellet, Paul Ricard, for the second round of the ELMS Championship 2025. After a promising start in Barcelona, we are looking forward to a competitive weekend with Scott, Jason, and Gimmi, who are familiar with their surroundings after two days of testing with Goodyear. This is a very competitive championship, and we are well prepared and up for the challenge. Roll on qualifying and the race on Sunday.”
Jason Hart, Driver: “The car seems much improved from the test, which is wonderful. I appreciate the team for the hard work in between the test and this race outing. Scott seems to be doing quite well in acclimating and improving, and Gimmi, as always, as the team leader, is doing a great job out front. This second afternoon session has proven to be a bit challenging, looking for some new settings with the tire degradation and the heat. But it seems the whole field is fighting that when you look at the spread. So, overall, I think we're in good shape, and we'll just stay internally focused and see where we come out.”
Scott Noble, Driver: “I’m feeling better than I have all season; physically strong, clear-headed, and fully recovered from my recent back surgery. It’s a great feeling to be back in the car at this level. The Ferrari feels absolutely dialed in, and having Jason and Gimmi alongside me makes this a truly cohesive team effort. The crew has done an exceptional job preparing us for the weekend, and I’m excited to keep building momentum; starting with this second round of the ELMS championship and carrying it through the season.”
Gianmaria “Gimmi” Bruni, Driver: “We had a good day of testing, with a solid morning session. This afternoon we had a little bit of missing track time on Free Practice 1 due to a long red flag. But we went through our program in the afternoon and I’m quite happy. We want to continue to improve the car for the long run, and we will now look at the data with the engineers and for sure, we’ll come back stronger.”
The 4 Hours of Le Castellet will take place on Sunday, May 4, with the green flag set to wave at 12:00 p.m. local time (CEST). As the European Le Mans Series settles in for its second stop of the season, JMW Motorsport is prepared to meet the challenge head on; driven by precision, passion, and the pursuit of results.
